It's that time again, What Would We Do Wednesday. We are staying busy providing estimates, meeting new people and starting new projects. Generally each time we walk up to a home, we meet the homeowner at their front door. The front door is the first impression a guest gets when entering in to your home. The front door can generally be a great way to judge how well someone takes care of their home. If it's faded and worn, the inside of the home is likely to be similar. Of course most people don't come and go through their front door on a daily basis, because of that it often gets overlooked unintentionally.
One of the quickest and easiest ways to make your house look fresh is to repaint the front door, and this spring is a great time to tackle this project. This is a relatively quick and easy process that you can do in one morning or afternoon. Certainly if you wanted us to do it for you we can, but trust us, you have the ability to do this yourself!
Depending on the primary color of your home and if you have an adventurous spirit, we would recommend going with a bright color. This time of year the pastel color palate comes to mind with light greens, purples, yellows and blues. Your goal should be to make your door the inviting focal point of your home. How brave you get is up to you!
One last thing, if you paint the exterior of the door, don't forget the inside. The inside can be just as important to the decor of your home and may be the last memory a guest has of your home, so don't leave it the way it came. If you tackle this project we would love to see your before and after pictures. Drop them on our Facebook page under this post. Good luck!
